ENIGMA
Moist green balls staring out into the dark,
Thick black mass ruffled by breeze blowing harsh
Grieving, angry, confused thoughts swooping down,
Ohh..; Why me?; What now?;
She questioned the astral sky with a frown;
It all seemed perfect, a surreal joy unknown before,
The felicity, the furore, all but things of past;
We were chums and still will be, she thought,
Had I known him much before, she pondered,
He would have fancied me and not that lass;
A lissome gal with balletic steps?
A singer with voice soft like summer rain?
A genteel lady of poise and grace?
Or a 'femme fatale' hidden beneath a drape?
She cried over her fate for she matched none of them;
Should she keep the splinter of hope burning forever?
Should she play the seductress and take him away?
Should she forget the past and look for future ahead?
Bizarre questions raced through her mind,
As she stared out into the dark all the night.
Thick black mass ruffled by breeze blowing harsh
Grieving, angry, confused thoughts swooping down,
Ohh..; Why me?; What now?;

PEOPLE AROUND US
Many people around us
Many traits they possess
Some say ' me first'
Hurting others to fulfill their lust
Some say 'leave me alone'
But desiring to be well-known
Some say 'lets do it together'
Helping others to make the world better
Some say 'people are no damn'
Always staying in a cynical mood
Some say 'chastity is the greatest treasure'
Abstaining from all the earthly pleasures.
Many people in this wonderful world
Many thrilling traits they possess.

UNIVERSAL GOD
Time and tide wait for none
Age old saying familiar to everyone
Time-an omnipotent God
Can make or break the fate of all
When irate, it sends a storm
When serene, the water is calm
Allowing flotilla to pass without harm
Sands of time escaped my flask
I begged the golden time to last
But alas!
Age old saying familiar to everyone
Time and tide wait for none

STEELY NERVES
I had a dream at a young age
Sailing seven seas across
For ushering in a new age
My heart engulfed with passion
My soul enlivened by motivation
I set sail for the challenging voyage
Hours, days and months gone
Ruthless time spared none
Even took away chums
Paying obeisance to Gods
Invoking blessings of Almighty
What else could I have done
Jealousy, the bane of humanity
Ambushed me too painfully
Seeing others sail ahead merrily
The spirit of competitiveness
Seized my dreams
Pushing me ahead ceaselessly
I strove, I slogged , I drudged,
I was a girl possessed
Steering a ship ahead
The rough winds battered
The thundering bolts frightened
The turbulent waters deterred
My heart beat fast
Testing my nerves to the last
Adrenaline rush mimicking a blast
There was I on the golden sands
Feeling relieved with sighs
I danced to the victory jives
Not the envy or the jealousy
But the sense of competitiveness
Thy name is success!!

FLYING SONGESTERS
A little blue cage
Hanged on a wedge
The blue metal bars
Shone like bright stars
Occupied by two love birds
Unaware of affairs of world
Fluttering their wings with grace
Vitality bloomed in the cage
The mistress with lean frame
Fed them with gnarled grains
The birds chirped happily
As they ate the grains hungrily
The song of the songsters
Pleased the watching youngsters
Proudly beamed the mistress
The birds flew in happiness
The dazed crowd threw money
The mistress counted every penny
As night took over day
Hurriedly disappeared the soire'e
The mistress became prosperous
Her wealth grew enormous
Power made her careless
The birds were helpless
The birds died of starvation
The mistress cries in desolation
Guilt engulfed her heavy heart
Gloom replaced her lovely charm
Hanged on a wedge
The blue metal bars
Shone like bright stars
Occupied by two love birds
Unaware of affairs of world
Fluttering their wings with grace
